Hello
Welcome to the SA Cigar Broker Website. My name is Steve Amari and I have owned retail stores in Florida and North Carolina. I have been enjoying my passion of cigars for close to 50 years and decided in 2018 after retiring from a marketing career to start my cigar business. In short my stores are mobile cigar stores setting up at Harley-Davidson Dealers, Bike Nights, certain events and festivals, if I can sell premium boutique cigars at an event that makes sense, why not.
My Story - It's From The Heart
When I started smoking cigars the Cuban cigar embargo had been in effect for 9 or 10 years so I really didn’t know what all the hoopla was about concerning Cuban cigars. What I did know is some of my older friends in the 70s were paying close to $300 for a box of Cuban cigars! Figuring in inflation, that’s over $2000 a box today, I loves me some cigars but not that much. One of my buddies gave me one of those gems and like a child with a new toy, I could’t wait to get home and fire that baby up. Personally I couldn’t tell the difference between the Cuban and the Dominican or Nicaraguan in my humidor.
So when I started my business I did like most brick and mortar stores, I loaded up with all the bigger names but had to keep my prices at 15 bucks or less, as my customers were impulse buyers. “Oh look a cigar vendor, let’s get one”. Remember they are at an event not a B&M store, they are not going to buy a 20 dollar or more cigar. Being a small retailer I didn’t have the buying power or storage availability to buy 5 to 10 boxes of each line I wanted to carry and keep my prices low.
I started learning more and more about Boutique Cigars. First let me say I use the word boutique in its truest definition: Webster - a small company that offers highly specialized services or products. True Boutique Cigars are almost always individually or family owned businesses. Keep this in mind, I have found that the cigars I broker for are just as good if not better than most of the bigger name cigars I use to carry in my retail business. So I tested a few cigars from a couple of different companies at a few events and the results were astounding. When I told the story of the boutique company my customer asked about I made the sale. I would also ask them to come back and tell me what they thought, inevitably they would say they really enjoyed the cigar AND would buy one or two more to smoke later. Fact is when I started focusing on Boutique Cigars I would sell 3 to 1 Boutique over the big guys lines. This is why I say, Bigger Isn’t Always Better.

To represent a selection of premium Boutique Cigar manufacturers. I aim to introduce cigar retailers to the exceptional quality and unique stories behind these small-batch cigar companies, it’s just that simple.
